Responsibilities

The Validation Test Specialist will support the OEM's vehicle testing into Canada. The test specialist will plan the daily routes for both morning and evening test drivers/vehicles. The position will be responsible for test cases to be executed by test drivers that include several areas of the vehicle (Infotainment, ADAS, Electric, Mobile online serves etc). This position is responsible for supporting with retesting of issues found and aligning that vehicles are updated by the shop technician. The validation test specialist will also be responsible for submitting issues found into the KPM ticket processing system for engineering resolution.

 

  • Daily route/shift planning for vehicles going out on 1st and 2nd shift. 10%  
  • Support with retesting of issues found. 20% 
  • KPM Ticket writing and submission. 40% 
  • Weekly project alignment meetings and reporting: 20% 
  • Miscellaneous support, vehicle logistics, test drives etc : 10% 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelors in Automotive Engineering / and or equivalent work experience
  • Possess a valid USA driver’s license, for a minimum of 9 years
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel outside of state limits (without restrictions)
  • Valid Passport
  • Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.  
  • Able to work effectively in Microsoft word/excel.  
  • Able to communicated clearly (phone/email)  
  • Ability to be organized and prioritize work in team environment  
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic  
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written  
  • Computer savvy – skilled in use of software / Engineering tools 
  • Will be required to complete & pass the internal/OEM driving tests (i.e. driving test, on-road driving test, to include reading maps)
  • Will be required to complete & pass all assigned company trainings 
  • Must be able to safetly lift 25 lbs. 
  • Candidates are required to undergo a criminal background check and drug screen (pre-employment)
