We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee a technical project for a vehicle fleet in the USA. The role focuses on capacity planning, hiring, billing, project controlling, KPIs, and overarching topics. You will ensure the seamless execution of a program/ campaign, contributing to the development of future assisted and autonomous driving systems. 

Potential travel across the USA, up to 40%

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Capacity Planning: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring vehicle availability and operational readiness to achieve customer targets.

  • Team Management: Oversee hiring, training, and management of program activities and staff, and ensuring all personnel meet the customer’s qualification standards. 

  • Billing & Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets. Manage billing processes based on documented driving hours and milestones. 

  • Project Controlling: Implement and manage project controls, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met. 

  • KPI Development & Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators to measure project success, drive continuous improvement, and report progress to stakeholders. 

  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and company standards. Manage documentation for legal follow-up and project reporting. 

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and met. 

  • Transition Management: Facilitate smooth transitions during the project lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding of team members and knowledge transfer. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience, to include proven experience in Project Management, preferably in the automotive or technology sector. 

  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, hiring, logistics, billing, and KPI management. 

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a track record of managing large-scale projects. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to travel as needed and work across different time zones. 

  • General technical understanding of advanced technologies in the automotive field (i.e. ADAS features & Connectivity topics).

  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and cybersecurity standards.
