Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.00 an hour

Responsibilities

General Purpose of Position:

 

Performs and supervise driving for durability sponsored test work.

Advancement to lead driver based upon current job performance, additional advanced driver training courses and increased knowledge of  product specific functions

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Must successfully meet ALL requirements associated with all levels of Driver classifications

• Work under the general direction of the Shift Supervisor to take an active role in supervision of the driver group.

• Take over general duties of Supervisor when needed during fill in periods.

• Assist with training of new driver personnel

• Provide leadership and serve as a resource to the driver group.

• Daily communication within the driver group concerning test schedule changes, road conditions, safety issues etc.

• Respond to driver concerns and questions in a positive and professional manner.

• Assist in the recording of test data when required

• Generate the End of Shift Report

• Assist Shift Supervisor with various personnel issues.

• Ensure that the driving staff are informed of and follow all APG Safety and Security Polices

• Drive test schedules as needed. (Test vehicle driving will be required during any time not assisting Supervisor on site)

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Basic supervisory skills necessary to lead driver group in performing work assigned
  • Must have the ability to work with people fairly in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines supplied in the various task assignments
  • Must be self-motivated and highly organized
  • Flexibility to perform numerous tasks as requested, Previous durability driver experience required
  • Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority
