The Process Quality Analyst drives quality improvements and has a focus on reduction or elimination of field warranty cases. The MQI is guiding the problem solving process from pre-analysis through to implementation.  The MQI is monitoring and reporting the target achievement for the scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews field-warranty problem landscape, prioritizes issues and evaluates risk for all car models built at Plant Spartanburg.
  • Drives the monitoring of and reviews sensor data through direct interface with the Problem Management Process, Reporting Line Customer, and Process Management department.
  • Maintains knowledge of priorities and schedules of the responsible topics, and drives the achievement of the agreed dates.
  • Provides expertise of Plant Spartanburg owned problems in Quality rounds.
  • Guiding the technical problem solving responsible in the problem solving process for all problems in the scope of responsibility.
  • Establishes and participates in cross-functional teams for quality improvement, as required.
  • Establishes communication with technical departments and suppliers as required.
  • Provides verification of problem resolution and sustainability, including containment effectiveness based on available data.
  • Complies with the Plant Management System through appropriate training and awareness, as well as continuous improvement of the system and supporting departmental systems and activities.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field, or 3 years of professional quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience in quality management, problem-solving, product engineering, process planning or vehicle analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic with agile attitude
  • Experienced in MS Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Database experience
