    Responsibilities

    • Rebuild guns brought to the Maintenance Shop for service.
    • Utilize gun manuals to disassemble, clean, inspect and replace gun components as needed.
    • Reassemble guns with new spare parts from Stores as needed and perform friction test to confirm procedures were followed.
    • Verify weld tip alignment then test gen for proper water flow, gun function and weld performance.
    • Verify stud gun function by welding 5 studs onto test coupon then performing tear down to confirm weld integrity.
    • Tag rebuilt guns as complete, who performed the work, date and parts used then place the gun in the storage area.
    • Perform Preventative Maintenance on RPS body locating pins and rotary assemblies per the PM guidelines.
    • Rebuild rotary assemblies in the Maintenance Shop using rebuild manual and spare parts from Stores.
    • Respond to downtime situation concerning rotary assemblies when requested.
    • Rebuild dresspacks in the Maintenance Shop which have been returned to the shop as damaged using spare parts from Stores.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience with Maintenance in industrial field (manufacturing)
    • Technical background (Industrial Technician)
    • Automotive industry experience
    • Welding skills / knowledge preferred
    • Able to read technical drawings and comprehend work instructions preferred
