    The Crash Support Technician is the person who works onsite at the customer. The Technician works closely with the resident engineer and the customer and acts as the technical interface to the customer and internal project team. The Crash Support Technician must work harmoniously within an international network, where many people perform a variety of interdependent tasks. This work is within a safety environment with a high quality of work products, which are supported by international exchange and global processes/methods.


    • Provide measurement equipment for vehicle crash testing
    • Setup, installation, and release of measurement equipment for vehicle crash testing at the laboratory.
    • Participate in Pre-Crash vehicle walk-around check
    • Perform Crash pre-crash and sign-off procedure on vehicles
    • Manage Crash equipment cabinets and coordinate with Resident engineer the inventory and equipment repair needs
    • Perform Vehicle Post-Crash procedure
    • Troubleshoot any issues with vehicle and provide vehicle data to the team when needed
    • Support SW, HW or System issues and lead investigations on bench and vehicle level. Create, verify, and report protocols for repeatable diagnosis issues
    • Analyze and contain problems (e.g. vehicle, component, or system diagnostics) during series or preproduction launch at customer plant and for prototype deliveries. From time to time off-site in different domestic area/locations
    • Direct interaction with the customer


    • Technician degree or equivalent qualification
    • Technical background in automotive systems and/or ECU software development and/or ECU hardware development
    • Experience with vehicle electrical architecture
    • Team oriented working style
    • Strong verbal and written communication as well as negotiation skills in order to facilitate a seamless communication link
    • High demand for quality
    • Able to operational independently, but responsibly
    • Cooperative attitude and flexibility
    • Experience in working with OEM customers preferred
    • Knowledge of restraints electronics hardware and software preferred
    • Knowledge of CAN networks and diagnostics tools preferred
    • Knowledge of quality tools and processes preferred
    • Domestic travel will be required occasionally
