    The Measurement and Inspection Technician will perform measurements and inspections on vehicles built in the assembly plant as required according to Quality Assurance – Vehicle Analysis Center standards, including, but not limited to, vehicle comfort measurements, alignments, powertrain, noises, HVAC, and electrical assistance and infotainment systems. In addition, the Technician will coordinate and steer vehicles for testing, plan and track vehicles to test according to needs of testing from multiple sources: series, pre-series, show, and press vehicles, and assist Analysis and Test specialists with vehicle analysis and testing.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize VAC test benches in order verify complaints, test parts and specific functions of cars.
    • Perform in-depth vehicle testing according to Quality Assurance – Vehicle Analysis Center standards. Testing includes, but is not limited to, vehicle comfort measurements, alignments, powertrain, noises, HVAC, and electrical assistance and infotainment systems
    • Perform technical analysis and inspections on vehicles
    • Repair cars and workout repair solutions and problem resolutions
    • Assist Analysis and Test specialists with vehicle analysis and testing
    • Document the status of every car check according to ISO900x. Document the status and availability of all tools and the entire test equipment
    • Support the engineers and Leadership Team with continuous information regarding any complaint.
    • Coordinate and steer vehicles for testing.
    • Plan and track vehicles to test according to needs of testing from multiple sources: series, pre-series, show, and press vehicles


     

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred
    • 1-3 years of technical experience with an Automotive OEM or in Automotive Business
    • Certified automotive technician or similar training and experience
    • Familiar with vehicle assembly and construction in order to remove and replace parts as analysis dictates
    • German and/or Spanish language knowledge preferred
