    The Product Reliability Technician will support the early detection and resolution of product reliability concerns by performing initial failure analysis of parts replaced under warranty.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Tracking and follow-up of incoming parts shipments of parts from importers to Chattanooga
    • Catalog and store parts involved in analysis in accordance with established procedures
    • Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts for analysis
    • Perform tests and limited failure analysis of relevant parts, to include bench and on-vehicle testing
    • Perform removal and installation procedures for parts to be analyzed
    • Create analysis reports for every part tested, to be filed in accordance with established procedures
    • Assign parts/topics for further analysis based upon failure mode
    • Validate repair procedures and methods for service action campaigns


     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience
    • High School Diploma desired; Technical degree preferred
    • Vehicle Repair
    • Vehicle Assembly and Disassembly
    • Analytical and deductive skills – use evidence and facts to reach conclusions
    • Systemic thinking – using logic and reason
    • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written
    • Technical capacity to analyze vehicle mechanisms
    • Strong automotive technical background
    • Automotive Repair Experience
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong MS Office skills
    • ASE Master Technician preferred
    • Photography Skills preferred
    • German Language Skills preferred
