    This position will report to the AM of Logistics Optimization and is to support the Logistics department in the planning of future models. The role will be responsible to liaison with the local team the new design requirements for the models, ensuring the clear communications are delivered and understood by both sides. Technical translation of documents as needed. The main responsibility will be the calculation of production side costs for future models.

    The role will include teaching and sharing of the continuous improvement process, as well as educating operators on the new process Standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Ramp up support to: Measure, Analyze, and Improve the Logistics’ processes
    • Liaison between Germany and US – Logistics Planning
    • Interpret reports, drawings and communications in order to explain to Specialists and Management
    • Analyze and improve Logistics processes
    • Develop KPI’s as needed to support process control
    • Statistical analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
    • Ensure clear communications between Logistics and Planning departments


     

    Qualifications

    • 4 yr Degree or equivalent/accumulative experience
    • Planning experience
    • Logistics/Strategic/Material
    • Ability to understand and analyze Logistics processes
    • Value Stream Mapping
    • Process Optimization
    • Project management, including cross Department Coordination
    • German language skills preferred
    • Automotive Industry experience preferred
    • MS Suite of Software including VISO and Project preferred
    • Statistical Analysis preferred
    • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
    • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
    • Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software
    • Integration – joining people, processes or systems
    • Influencing and negotiation skills
