    This position is located at a major automotive manufacturer and will focus on development of Infotainment and Bluetooth technology in German automotive vehicles.

    Responsibilities

    • Test Location Based Services (LBS) and Telematic functions on all active development and production head unit platforms to ensure product quality in the US & CA markets.
    • Perform tests for Ultrasound Parking & Parking Spot Finder functionality in all capable head unit platforms.
    • Monitor & Test Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) functionality on all head unit platforms.
    • Plan, perform and participate in test drives (long and short distance) for current vehicle projects. Perform On-Street-Parking tests using specified key performance indicators to optimize data accuracy and feature quality.
    • Create, maintain and manage test cases for current and future system features.
    • Pre-analyze test results in cooperation with Client development departments and suppliers.
    • Document test results, including error description, in error management systems (ALM), and escalate if necessary.
    • Communicate regularly with Client developers in North America and Germany.
    • On-site support for local supplier management to ensure that all project partners are aligned with latest status.
    • Provide direct support to Client organization by sharing technical knowledge and assisting in the resolution of customer issues. Interfaces include, but not limited to, Technical Service, Product Planning, and Marketing.
    • Manage test documentation including test cases, test planning, test results, etc.
    • Report project status and test results to departments using standard Client reporting tools (e.g. ALM).
     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering.
    • Preferred 2 years of Infotainment/Navigation experience.
    • Technical fluency in German and English.
    • Valid US Driver’s license with clean driving record.
    • Available for overnight business travel.
    • Preferred German automotive electric/hybrid vehicle trainings.
    • Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
