    This position located at a major automotive manufacturer and will be responsible for fuel systems, steering warranty related design changes, developing technical solutions using customer specific tools (CATIA V5, TAIS, PQM, GAMS) within the standard designs and manufacturing processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform analysis support for pre-series, series and field issues.
    • Develops solutions to problems (especially highly complex or unusual) which require regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
    • Development and verification of concept within process and specification.
    • Take the leadership to steer all involved process partners.
    • Ensure a simultaneous, effective and efficient development and problem solving process.
    • Design and release responsibility for components. 
    • Leads the Cross Functional Team and, if necessary, Problem-Solving Teams.
    • Collaborate with Product Development Teams.
    • Promotes the principles and values of the Plant in daily activities and future plans.

    Qualifications

    • BS degree in engineering field (industrial, mechanical, electrical)
      or 4+ years’ experience in quality engineering, design engineering or product engineering.
    • 2+ years knowledge of automotive fuel systems required.
    • Automotive experience is required.
    • Ability to drive and investigate root cause analysis of functional issues.
    • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools. 
    • Knowledge of manufacturing process.
    • Strong analytical work methodology and problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 DMU preferred).
    • Problem solving experience.
    • Professional experience with automotive product management.
