    The core funation of this position is the collaboration of the different and occasionally contrary demands of  process partners (design, ergonomic, packaging, assembly, test, vehicle safety, and procurement). Contrary demands have to be resolved in order to archive the targets in product quality, launching on time and cost.

    This position will be located at an automotive manufacturer responsible for the series development of vehicle interior components.

    • Responsible for the problem solving process within the process chain of series interior components.

    • The interior main modules are the instrument panel, center console, door panels, flooring, headliner, seats and finishers .

    • Responsible for the development of release-able solutions (incl. containments) up to the release itself.

    • Responsible for the implementation of all design-related containments.

    • Leads and represents the process chain to accomplish the agreed targets and objectives.

    • Supervises and coordinates the series activities of the customer facility product portfolio.   

    • Integrates the Launch activities of new models and derivatives into the existing process chain landscape at the customer facility.

    • Takes leadership to steer all involved process partners simultaneously to ensure effective and efficient solutions.

    • Coordinates upcoming design changes and containments with launch and change department, logistics and supplier.

    • Assess numerous design studies in regards to technical and process-technical feasibilities.

    • Ensure to meet the agreed targets.


    • Min. Bachelor Degree in Engineering

    • Min. of 3 years project management/ quality management experience in the automotive industry

    • Fundamental experiences in interior development

    • Experience in injection molding process

    • Experience in interior parts manufacturing

    • Experience in leading interdisciplinary and international project teams

    • Advance knowledge with MS Office

    • Knowledge of engineering software tools: e.g CATIA V5, Moldflow, Ansys, FEA.

    • Conversation skills (individual and in a team)

    • German language skills are beneficial
