    Technicians who are able to analyze all production issues within the area of responsibility and adjust the in-house processes. Technicians who are familiar with Body in White, body shop or have assembly process backgrounds that are comparable. Experience where fitment of parts, fixtures and joining equipments are used is preferable. The Technicians are responsible for analyzing and adjusting equipment such as fixtures, tooling, and anything that can have an impact on the car body during manufacturing.


    We are looking for two technicians, one who can work 50 hours/week and one who can work 60 hours/week.

    • Perform complex problem solving with respect to dimensional accuracy, fit and function in all manufacturing areas (body, paint and assembly).

    • Analyze BIW (Body in White) measurement reports (CMM, etc.)

    • Analyze BIW stamping part measurement reports.

    • Analyze root causes of problems through evaluation of measurement data and "hands on" panel/fixture fit techniques.

    • Develop “countermeasures” to resolve problems.

    • Confirm and optimize operating processes.

    • Develop concepts to improve BIW tooling (dies and assembly fixtures) and inspection devices.

    • Initiate product and process changes.

    • Confirm stamping/assembly parts in regard to dimensional accuracy and consistency in the manufacturing process.

    • Follow up on quality issues.

    • Work with others to develop concepts for larger process tooling and equipment changes.

    • Composing product “re-work” instructions.

    • Develop and integrate special tools, models and templates.

    • Organize, participate and report in meetings.

    • Confirm results of internal and external changes.

    • Responsible for annual admintrative, operational and capital budgets.




    • Vocational training in technical field and/or equivalent experience in automotive BiW production / production equipment

    • 2 years job related experience or technical education, automotive background preferred

    • Solid knowledge of MSOffice

    • Independence/drive/motivation is expected as major parts of the typical work day will require self-guided work in a team environment.

    • Mid- to long- terms stays abroad are possible (Germany or other countries)

    • Flexibility in terms of business travel (nationally and internationally)

    • Overtime and weekend work is expected, as is work on off-shifts/rotating shifts


    • Associates degree in technical field

    • Technical apprenticeship or vocational training, i.e. as a measurement technician, line builder, robot programmer. 

    • German language skills 

    • Basic measurement skills (FaroArm, FaroLaserTracker, GOM, CMM, Inline).

    • Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA V5)

    • Experience in analyzing root causes of BiW assembly deviations as well as in identifying and implementing effective countermeasure.

    • Good understanding of tolerance analysis.

    • Strong understanding of welding, hemming and gluing processes.

    • Understanding of sheet metal stamping processes.

    • Solid understanding of technical drawings, specifications, functional dimensions, measurement reports, etc.
