    Individual will be an integral member of the Company's Corporate Communications team supporting Monitor Project Management Office and Compliance office with internal and external communications needs. Individual will be responsible for coordination with Company's communications teams to ensure consistent messaging in regards to the PMO and Compliance and Integrity. The position will be responsible for creating and executing an internal communications plan in line with the PMO and Compliance office. The position will assist in general PR (internal and external) activities with Group Communications as needed.

    This position is located in Herndon, VA

    Responsibilities

    60% serve as the communications arm of the Monitor Project Management Office:

    • Maintain records of all communication activities related to PMO/Compliance
    • Align messaging with Company
    • Drafting and distributing employee letters, workshops, presentations, etc.
    • Evaluate and organize media and speaking engagement opportunities
    • Serve as the point of contact for the PMO office’s public relations needs, to include- collecting past data for the monitor, maintaining status of actions taken since diesel crisis
    • Individual is responsible for employee communications to include- workshop management, organizing at affiliate locations, creating materials and follow up communications

     

    30% serve as the communications specialist responsible for Compliance internal and external communications:

    • Maintain records of all communication activities related to PMO/Compliance
    • Align messaging with Company
    • Drafting and distributing employee letters, workshops, presentations, etc.
    • Evaluate and organize media and speaking engagement opportunities.
    • Develop messaging and provide evidence of progress in compliance and integrity

     

    10% The position will assist in general PR (internal and external) activities with Group Communications as needed to highlight the progress in improving processes, programs, etc. towards excellence in integrity

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required (Masters is preferred)
    • 7+ years of experiences in internal or external public relations, journalism or project management
    • Excellent writing skills – letters, releases, presentations; writing examples are helpful
    • Highly collaborative
    • Ability to interact and present to executives
    • General public relations skills- media relations, message development and media monitoring
    • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
    • Integration – joining people, processes or systems
    • Resource management
    • Ability to multi-task and be organized with multiple projects/tasks at one time
    • Ability to maintain high-levels of confidentiality

     

    Desired:

    • Additional languages (especially German) a plus
    • Knowledge of media analytics

     

    Up to 35% travel maybe required
