    Responsibilities

    • Perform test and validation activities of software functions of the vehicle information and communication system
    • Support the development process
    • Plan, perform and participate in test drives (long and short distance) for the current vehicle projects
    • Create, maintain and manage test cases for current and future system features
    • Document test results, including error description, in error management systems and escalate if necessary
    • Pre-analyze test results in cooperation with the development departments and SW suppliers
    • Communicate regularly with developers in New Jersey and Germany
    • Manage test documentation incl. test cases, test planning, test results, etc.
    • Report project status and test results using the company’s standard reporting tools
    • Synchronize and prioritize with other US testing sites regarding the project status and open topics to ensure an aligned feedback to German office
    • Travel to company locations in Oxnard, CA and Spartanburg, SC as well as Germany, based on project needs
    • Participate in company-required training, including special driver training

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering
    • Preferred 1-2 years of Infotainment/Navigation experience
    • Valid US Driver’s license with clean DMV
    • Available for overnight business travel
    • Preferred electric/hybrid vehicle trainings
    • Strong English language communication skills; both spoken and written
    • Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
    • Passion for cars and consumer electronics
