This is a Primary role summary will be to coordinate / steer vehicles through the manufacturing areas (Body, Paint, Assembly, and CP8). The successful candidate will be able to catch on quickly with propriety IT Systems for vehicle steering though manufacturing shops. They will need to be able to balance competing priorities and be able to multitask. This position is very IT heavy in a production control room / call center. 

This position will be a fixed 2nd shift position – unless business need changes to rotational.

This position follow’s production operating hours 6 PM -4:45 AM + 1 Hr OT as well as Monday through Thursday. If Friday overtime is scheduled, this position is also required.

Anticipate 48 hours per week, for the position as a standard working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prevent disturbances within the production order flow through analysis of order bank, weekly programs, production capacity, supplier capacity and manufacturing processes
  • Reprint manifests, Pick Sheets.
  • Print TPSs for body shop and manage the flow and mix into body shop by controlling TPS tags and R200 merge point
  • Maintain a leveled and smoothed program into Body and Assembly
  • Develop, improve and monitor KPIs

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in program planning and / or production control
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Skilled in learning new proprietary IT Systems quickly
  • Previous experience in an IT heavy job preferred
  • Experience with Systems: FIS, Plant Reporting, SONATA, OPTIMO, GAF, EPL, FPL preferred
