As a Prototype Vehicle Test Drive, your task will be to gather mileage accumulation on prototype test vehicles on public roads while observing traffic rules and regulations and driving in a responsible manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive on predetermined routes to measure vehicle endurance
  • Safe driving in accordance with California highway rules and regulations
  • Some data entry required
  • Understanding of mechanical operations of vehicles

 

Occasional off-site work required for duration typically up to 3 week period at remote locations in the USA (hot and cold climate conditions).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, 5 years driving experience
  • High School Diploma, 5 years driving experience
  • Valid Driver’s License, above average driving skills 
  • At least 25 years of age and 5 years driving experience with a good driving record acknowledged by the DMV
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability for concise and accurate report finding and documentation
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Able to perform basic supervised mechanical vehicle related tasks (wheel change, light mechanical servicing)
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components and operating procedures and provide feedback on these while driving the vehicle.
  • B1/B2 training
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission (6-speed) vehicle
  • Ability to work in a team is a must 
  • Physically fit, able to sit for long period of time. Able to work 2nd shift, 2:30pm - 11:30pm, may require some weekend driving
