    In this full time position, the Series Vehicle Test Driver will be gathering mileage accumulation on test vehicles on public roads while observing traffic rules and regulations and driving in a responsible manner.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Drive on predetermined routes to measure vehicle endurance
    • Accumulate miles on series vehicles (average 280 miles per day)
    • Safe driving in accordance with California DMV rules and regulations
    • Some data entry required
    • Understanding of mechanical operations of vehicles
    • Must be able to pass written and driving tests for internal licenses

     

    Occasional off-site travel may be required for a maximum duration of up to a 3-week period at remote locations in the USA (hot and cold climate conditions).

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent; 5 years driving experience
    • Valid Driver’s License, above average driving skills 
    • At least 25 years of age with a good driving record acknowledged by the CA DMV
    • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
    • Ability for concise and accurate report finding and documentation
    • Basic computer skills required
    • Able to perform basic supervised mechanical vehicle related tasks (wheel change, light mechanical servicing)
    • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components and operating procedures and provide feedback on these while driving the vehicle
    • Ability to drive a manual (6-speed) transmission vehicle
    • Ability to work in a team environment is a must 
    • Physically fit, able to sit for a long period of time. 1st shift, 5:00am-2:00pm and 2nd shift, 2:30pm - 11:30pm, may require some weekend driving

           Position pays $14/hr - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD/20 days accrued PTO/10  Paid Holidays
