    The Automotive Technical Writer will be responsible for writing technical bulletins in partnership with our automotive subject matter experts, engineers, automotive technicians and project personnel. This position will be responsible for the creation of technical bulletins regarding the repair and/or installation of automotive components and/or parts on a variety of vehicle platforms using supplied resources such as technical manuals and engineering information containing operating procedures. In certain cases validation of repair procedures is required.


    • Gather information and write technical bulletins in electronic media according to set standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
    • Include or create technical assets in the creation of the documentation using select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material where required.
    • Validate procedures with the appropriate technicians, engineers and subject matter experts where required.
    • Be self-driven and participate in meetings to report status and communicate needs and requirements to fulfill responsibilities.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in English or related field
    • Five years professional experience in an automotive dealership or manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of degree
    • Technical writing experience, to include automotive service (dealership/manufacturing) technical writing experience
    • Automotive technician experience preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel, and Word
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Familiar with Service Information Bulletins
    • Excellent customer communication skills both written and oral
    • Professional appearance and work ethic
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated, team player
    • German language skills preferred
