This is a highly visible role within the business that will help advance electric vehicle leadership strategy through the optimization of the customer experience with charging of BEVs. With the upcoming launch of electric vehicle models with long-range capability, the intent is to implement a new service product which grants customers access to a network of high performance charging stations through a Mobility Service Provider (MSP). The individual in this role will work with internal and external stakeholders to implement the plan for an MSP in the U.S. market. The role is a part of a high performing team in a fast-paced lean organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the U.S. business model for the Mobility Service Provider strategy and adapt the target operating model to local market needs.
  • Plan the MSP portfolio including product & service offering and pricing strategy, network coverage, and branding requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing, sales, and distribution strategies, customer and dealer contract management, and billing and payment processes.
  • Plan and implement the technical integration of the customer portal, backend IT systems, and partner systems, and
  • Identify key operational metrics/SLAs, execute partner contracts, and establish support processes
  • Coordination of all activities with key stakeholders related to the setup and operation of the MSP
  • Leading discussions to fully develop the MSP concept for a market introduction at the time of the e-tron launch
  • Preparing the business plan for the MSP and obtaining management approval
  • Running internal and external customer/user workshops to develop the overall project and milestone plan
  • Conducting consumer and market research to understand customer preferences, validate business plan assumptions, and fine-tune pricing models
  • Performing technical due diligence from a U.S. market perspective on charging and IT infrastructure solutions proposed as part of the MSP concept
  • Running proof-of-concepts where needed to verify proposed solutions
  • Maintaining coordination of roadmaps and plans with product teams responsible for the EV launch as well as those at Electrify America responsible for the charging infrastructure deployment
  • Consulting with legal and finance stakeholders on the proposed setup as well as field operations teams to ensure buy-in from the dealer community
  • Engaging with teams working on the development of the future digital services portfolio to develop alignment on strategies, coordinate various projects, and deliver a uniform premium experience at all customer touch points

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher
  • 5 years of experience with B2B/B2C services leveraging technology
  • Understanding of EV charging technologies, standards, and industry roadmaps
  • Familiarity with connected vehicle services and service models
  • Experience with development and implementing new service business models
  • Strong analytical skills, systems design and design thinking familiarity desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal competences, presentation skills, and stage presence
  • Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to cost-effectively manage multiple initiatives across geographies
  • Experience working across multiple locations and cross-culturally
  • Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Experience working at an EV manufacturer in a connected services role a plus.
  •  EV automotive and/or technology-oriented services industry experience
  • Knowledge of standard automotive industry and business processes
  • German language skills a plus
  • Travel up to 25%-domestic and international
