This position located at a major automotive manufacturer. The Engineer will be responsible for developing technical solutions using customer specific tools within the standard designs and manufacturing processes. That means, dealing with issues of cost, production, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability, intended lifespan and user features.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis support for pre-series, series and field issues.
  • Develops solutions to problems (especially highly complex or unusual) which require regular use of ingenuity and innovation
  • Development and verification of concept within process and specification.
  • Take the leadership to steer all involved process partners.
  • Ensure a simultaneous, effective and efficient development and problem solving process.
  • Design and release responsibility for components
  • Leads the cross functional Team and if necessary Problem-Solving Teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering field (industrial, mechanical, electrical) or 4+ years’ experience in quality engineering, design engineering or product engineering
  • Automotive experience is required
  • Ability to drive investigate root cause analysis of functional issues
  • Knowledge of Statistical methods and tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of Physical analysis methods
  • Knowledge of Strong analytic work methodology and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Knowledge
  • Knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 DMU preferred)
  • Problem solving experience
  • Professional experience with automotive product management
