Under general supervision of the Workshop Manager, the Technician must be experienced in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs and mechanical builds for all automotive products with special focus on pre-production and prototype vehicles
  • Assembly and fitment of special equipment and components for test purposes into vehicles

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 year’s minimum experience working on vehicles with all required certifications
  • 2 years job experience working on BMW Group pre-production and prototype vehicles preferred.
  • Certification to work on hybrid and electrical pre-production vehicles
  • The minimum amount of experience (practical knowledge) in specific types of positions or functions necessary for adequate performance in this position. (ie:
  • 3 years as Master Technician; specific Automotive experience (retail or wholesale).
  • Forklift certification
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal), German language skill a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills required and ability to accurately report and document findings.
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and tools for vehicle allocation, fault reporting, refueling (FIPS, Car Kiosk, Read-Out Terminal, TIM etc)
