The Digital Platform Product Manager will manage the various stages of product development and work collaboratively with dedicated technical teams on the planning and execution of these global platforms. For the initial engagement, you will be responsible for documenting and defining user stories and requirements to fill the product backlog in addition to helping to document existing business processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for proposing enhancements and changes to current business processes that improve efficiency, boost productivity, or address newly identified processes to support the new platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support a new initiative to align our platforms across the global markets for reuse and optimization
  • Document existing business processes, as well as propose enhancements to business processes that improve efficiency, boost productivity, or address newly identified needs
  • Drive requirements gathering process through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Work with key cross-functional teams to develop platform product requirements
  • Help develop and manage platform product backlog & define priorities, with a key focus on product KPIs and measuring product effectiveness
  • Develop key product documentation including business cases, business requirements, epics & user stories defined with test driven development scenarios Identify opportunities for improving business processes and documents them within the business process management tool
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new systems and functionality Manage requirement clarifications process
  • Build good relationships with team members, ensuring a high level of team morale
  • Effectively communicate issues, risks and dependencies with project stakeholders, escalating where appropriate
  • Provide hands-on development support to product teams where necessary Help eliminate and identify any internal roadblocks that impede development and launch
  • Act as liaison between other disciplines and technology team members
  • Work to prioritize project enhancements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a product owner or business analyst in an agile development environment
  • 3+ years digital online or mobile experience
  • Experience implementing retail website and marketing programs
  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest developments and technologies in the retail digital marketing environment (retail websites, digital marketing, search marketing, prospect/audience targeting, lead acquisition, mobile, social media, etc.)
  • Strong writing skills with a proficiency in business requirement documentation, experience writing Agile user stories, business requirement documentation
  • Knowledge and practice of core principals of Agile methodology and Agile development practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean software development, etc.
  • Knowledge of Behavioral and Test Driven Development practices and frameworks
  • Experience and knowledge of business process management tools such as IBM or TIBCO
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery practices, tools and process
  • Familiarity and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for product user stories and agile development
  • Experience working in or directly with an agency, creative or technical consultants
