This position will be responsible for the engineering, design, analysis, development, testing and production release of Automotive Components.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development of conceptual solutions in the scope of the respective module and control the design stage, with internal and external development partners. Continuous monitoring and ensuring progress
  • Review the structural component requirements (in terms design integration, assembly, manufacture, package, design and customer requirements) and test the feasibility
  • Optimizing and developing design solutions, i.e. analyzing the previous design and elaboration of alternative solutions, including reviews of the various alternatives and selecting the optimum from a technical and business perspective solution
  • Development of detailed solutions for components from concept to production stage, taking into account the functional requirements, cost, weight, and installation and the creation of the necessary models
  • Review the design models during the design discovery process and support the design and technology convergence to the technical realization of the selected theme to the design freeze
  • Primary responsibility for data management and provision of data
  • Timely control, implementation and operation of the release process of the respective phases and possibly create change orders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 3 years automotive experience
  • Knowledge of automotive procedures
  • Advanced CAD experience in CATIA and NX
  • Experience with GPDS
  • Ability to write Engineering Work Order Form (E-Squared)
  • Experience with product development of plastics or die casting
  • Lockset and or exterior door handle experience
  • Strong communication skills
