Responsibilities

  • Perform test and data collection activities of vehicle hardware and software functions.
  • Perform customer-focused/free testing
  • Support the development process by verifying unofficial software depending on project need.
  • Plan, perform and participate in test drives (long and short distance) for the current vehicle projects.
  • Create, maintain and manage test cases for current and future systems features.
  • Document test results, including error description, in error management systems (ALM), and escalate if necessary.
  • Pre-analyze test results in cooperation with the development departments and SW suppliers
  • Communicate regularly with developers
  • On-site support for local supplier management to ensure that all project partners are aligned with latest status.
  • Manage test documentation incl. test cases, test planning, test results, etc.
  • Report project status and test results to EV departments using the standard reporting tools (e.g. Brian, ALM).
  • Synchronize and prioritize with other US testing sites regarding the project status and open topics to ensure an aligned feedback.
  • Provide direct support to the organization by sharing technical knowledge and assisting in the resolution of customer issues. Interfaces included, but not limited to, Technical Service, Product Planning, TeileClearing, and Marketing
  • Travel to locations in CA and SC based on project needs.
  • Participate in training, including driver training (B0, B1, B2, E1).
  • Install, configure, and operate vehicle measuring equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with development and testing of advanced driver assistance systems.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in automotive driver assistance SW and HW testing, development, data acquisition and debugging tools.
  • Valid US Driver’s license.
  • Available for overnight business travel.
  • Preferred electric/hybrid vehicle trainings.
  • Technical fluency in German language is highly preferred.
  • Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
