Responsibilities

  • Engage in Battery Technology Research & Development, Materials Research
  • Screens the North American market for promising battery technology
  • Responsible for discovery, research, evaluation, and reporting of battery technology
  • Responsible to present research collaboration opportunities, and to keep contact to companies and institutions
  • Responsible for the initiation and management of collaborations and consortia

Qualifications

  • Master or Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering, material science, or closely related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in battery research and/or development
  • Minimum 3 years of successful project management experience
  • Background in chemistry and material science
  • Vast battery materials and chemistry knowledge
  • Involved in battery or materials community
  • Well informed of North American battery materials and technology research
  • Hands on experience in automotive high voltage systems
  • Experience or knowledge in automotive high voltage systems development and vehicle integration
  • German Language
  • Live Line Work Training
  • Automotive High Voltage Training
  • Sound knowledge of advanced automotive powertrains and propulsion battery systems
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Personal suitability for highest level of responsibility for safety
  • Social and networking skills in intercultural environment
  • Strong research project leadership
  • Highly adaptable in dynamic project environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Valid Driver License
  • Domestic and international travel required
