The Quality Engineer will work directly with the Project Managers. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in the manufacturing and/or design at a German Automotive manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and consulting of the series development by employment of preventive quality methods in the PMP.
  • Production and distribution of Module Q-reports including chances and risks.
  • Initiation, organization and monitoring of measures to the quality aims of the process chain with all modules of the body extent.
  • Set up a time and schedule management for the Q-activities (methods, validation of potential solutions).
  • Initiation, organization and monitoring of measures for Q-problem solution with the relevant module leaders.
  • Warranty business case calculation and creation of corrective actions out of the prognosis to steer towards achieving the module target.
  • Warranty forecast
  • participation in Problem Solving Team meetings and workshops
  • Moderation of weekly review meetings
  • Update and maintain Quality Management System daily
  • Occasional participation in escalation rounds

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years (10+ years preferred) of professional quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in advanced quality planning techniques including PFMEA, control planning, process flow diagram, process auditing techniques, and PPAP
  • Experience in advanced statistical techniques such as capability and standard deviation studies to calculate process variation
  • comfortable with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Quality Computer Systems including QSYS, SPQM and SAP
  • Written and verbal German skills (preferred)
