We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven engineer that has experience in network technology and is enthusiastic about working on innovative technology vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Root cause diagnosis of vehicle and electrical network systems.
  • Installing special measurement equipment into vehicles, including wiring.
  • Configuration of logging computers designed to trace vehicle debug information.
  • Configuration of media switch/routers to route debug traffic into the appropriate channels.
  • Pre-Analyzing recorded debug traces to make sure vehicle is setup properly for SW testing purposes. (Ethernet, PCAP, CAN, DLT).
  • Detect and suggest automation of recurring tasks (via scripting).
  • Flash vehicle with weekly software upgrades for testing.
  • Maintain ISO compliance.
  • Process and document work orders according to priority set by workshop supervisor.
  • Technical support for quarterly events between departments (may include travel).

Qualifications

  • Technical Degree.
  • Excellent network skills (network setup, VLAN, TCP/IP, understanding of ISO/OSI model).
  • Scripting experience desired (Excel VB, Python, C#).
  • Experience in the German automotive industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical and deductive skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Process and customer oriented.
  • Result and performance driven.
  • Interested in and passionate about automobiles.
  • Current US driver’s license with clear DMV record.
  • German language skills preferred.
