The Accessories Engineering team is responsible for defining market requirements and providing development support and validation of centrally provided and locally sourced Accessories for customers in the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering technical support by providing support to engineer of validation on accessory installation, functionality check and installation instructions.
  • Record and development process for product development and fitment requests.
  • Document all activities and file electronically for future reference.
  • Vehicle test drives for testing and diagnosis.
  • Development and support of Local Sourced Parts and accessory projects.
  • Routine maintenance of vehicle to include but not limited to (fluids exchange, tire replace/seasonal exchange, wipers).
  • Assist in creation / maintenance of process flows to ensure future ISO compliance.
  • Maintain shop equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Follow group policy to ensure vehicle comply to pre-production group standards.
  • Monitoring PuMA system and provide technical support to dealer partners on accessory technical inquiry.
  • Retrofit or install hardware as required.
  • Technical support for quarterly events between departments may include travel.
  • Vehicle Repairs to include but not limited to, (engine, driveline, suspension and emissions).
  • Provide technical support to upkeep a test fleet of vehicles (Prepare fleet vehicles for events).
  • Provide phone support for both internal and external customers.
  • Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on all engineering fleet vehicles utilizing specific repair procedures, tools, and equipment with efficiency and in accordance company standards.
  • Install prototype Accessories and determine the accuracy in provided instructions.
  • Update vehicle and component software on production and pre-production vehicles using R/D and proprietary software flashing tools.
  • Utilize specific templates and documents for each retrofit to allow for future problem solving.
  • Provide daily support to engineering team to answer PUMA questions in a timely and customer centric manner.
  • Create, test and implement process documents.
  • Attend job required training as requested.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant automotive experience.
  • Entry Level Technician with MS office skills preferred.
  • Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • MS Office skills to include abilities to create process flows and present as required.
